


Come and experience life as a firefighter as you enter our gallery and learn about the history and the longstanding legacy of fighting fires in Calgary and surrounding areas.
Established in 1986, the Firefighters Museum of Calgary is home to an extensive collection of firefighting equipment from the early 1900s to the present; including hand drawn, horse drawn and motorized apparatus. There are photographs, artwork, memorabilia, and historical documents dating from the inception of the Calgary Fire Department until now.

Kids who complete all three classes receive an honourary firefighters' certificate and badge! Check our Programs Page for more info!
Come celebrate with us from 10 am - 12 pm as we officially kick off our summer season! Free admission and guided tours! Light refreshments will be served!
The museum opens to the public on Friday, May 17th at 10:00 am! Come visit us until October 5th, Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm, excluding statutory holidays. After October 4th. we'll be open Thursday - Saturday, 10 am - 3 pm, excluding statutory holidays.
