Volunteer your time with the Firefighters Museum of Calgary! We are constantly on the lookout for enthusiastic people to help us with our growing collection, expansion plans and community involvement.
Not sure what you’d like to do? Here are some suggestions:
Our Library and Archives contains thousands of items and is used for research by students, researchers, reporters, and the general public.
Working in the front administration area and the Alarm Room Gift Shop, Visitor Service Hosts provide prompt and courteous customer service to all our visitors and customers.
Our Educational & Interpretive Programmers have a passion for artifacts, history and education. Tour Guides conduct drop-in and pre-booked tours through our exhibit area answering questions ranging from firefighting history to methods and equipment.
The Special Events Volunteers assist with the execution of museum special events including fund raising activities, off-site events, lectures, and exhibitions.
The Firefighters Museum houses a unique collection that includes apparatus, tools and equipment, textiles and art.
Our Facility Maintenance Volunteers primary responsibilities are the maintenance of the museum and its grounds.
This program is in its infancy and requires financial sponsors as well as hands-on care and maintenance on a regular basis.
